QUESTIONS
About this
list
How the ranking is built and what the figures mean.
The amount by which a market’s implied probabilities exceed 100%. A 4% margin means the prices add up to 104% — the lower the figure, the better the odds you get.
On price, yes. But margin says nothing about market depth, payment speed or support, so the sharpest operator is not automatically the best account to hold.
Between the sharpest and the widest bookmaker in our guide, about £1.10 per £50 bet in expectation. Over a season of regular betting that compounds well past any welcome offer.
Most bookmakers factor stakes eventually. Kestrel publishes no maximum-win cap on the top five leagues, which is rarer than the marketing of larger brands suggests.
A better-ranked bookmaker will not make you a winner
Every operator on this page holds an edge, and a higher score only narrows it. Set a deposit limit before you open an account, never chase losses, and treat every stake as spent the moment it is placed.
