How the ranking is built and what the figures mean.
A licence is a licence — new operators face the same requirements on segregated funds and identity checks. What is usually untested is how they behave under stress: disputes, payout delays and account restrictions take time to show up.
Customer acquisition. A newer operator has to buy attention, so the opening offer and the early promotions tend to be more generous than an established brand needs to be.
Market depth and support. Four of the five here carry fewer than twenty sports, and telephone support is rare below the top ten.
