Two operators publish check processes ahead of deadline

The December requirement is not due for four months, but Marlin and Harbour have moved early.

Two operators publish check processes ahead of deadline
Two of fifteen have published; the deadline is 1 December.

Marlin and Harbour have published plain-language descriptions of their affordability-check process on their account pages, four months before the regulator requires it. Both documents explain what triggers a check, what data is used and what a customer will and will not be asked for, in under five hundred words.

The December requirement asks for exactly this, and most of the industry has said it will comply by the deadline rather than before it. The two early movers are also the two operators in our guide with the fastest withdrawal times, which may not be a coincidence: an operator that has already automated its verification has less to explain.

We asked the other thirteen operators in our guide when they intend to publish. Three said before the deadline, four said by the deadline, and six did not respond. We will update the responsible-gambling coverage table as each one appears, and the promotions score on each review will note whether the process was published early, on time or late.
