A review publication, not a bookmaker

We do not take bets, hold customer funds or operate any gambling product. Oddsmark holds no licence because it needs none.

A testing programme, not a tipping service

Predictions exist to show how we read a market. They are free, there is no premium tier, and we do not sell picks.

Measurement, not opinion polling

Every score comes from a funded account, settled bets and timed withdrawals. We do not survey users or reprint operator claims.

Not a comparison feed

Nothing on this site is generated from an affiliate network’s data file. If a figure is published here, somebody on the team measured it.

WHY IT EXISTS

It started as one unanswered question

In 2021 our founder tried to answer a simple question — which bookmaker offers the best price on Premier Division football — and found that every site claiming to answer it was ranking by commission rate.

Margins were not published anywhere. Withdrawal times were quoted from operator marketing. Bonus values were printed as headline figures with the wagering buried in a footnote.

So we started measuring. Forty markets a month, six timed withdrawals per operator, twelve support queries, and the results published whether or not they suited the businesses paying us.

The bonus is the advertising. The margin is the price. Almost every bettor reads the first and ignores the second.

Read the methodology

Measure, then writeNo review begins from a press release. The copy follows the numbers, and the numbers come from a funded account.

Publish the methodThe weights, the rubric and the update cadence are on the site. A reader should be able to challenge a score on its own terms.

State the conflictWe are paid by the operators we rank. That is disclosed on every page rather than buried in a policy nobody opens.

Correct in publicErrors are fixed on the page with a dated note. Two scores have changed after operator challenges, both recorded.

Name the writerEvery review, guide and prediction carries a byline. There is a person accountable for each figure.

Say when betting is a bad ideaA sharper price narrows the house edge; it does not remove it. We write that as often as it needs writing.

HOW WE GOT HERE

Five years, in six steps

2021FoundedStarted as a spreadsheet of Premier Division margins, published monthly as a newsletter to about four hundred readers.

2022First reviewsSix operators tested end to end. The scoring rubric was written this year and the weights set for the first time.

2023Testing programme formalisedNinety-day minimum test period introduced, along with timed withdrawals and logged support queries.

2024Weights fixedThe six-category model settled into its current form. The weights have not changed since.

2025Regulation deskA dedicated correspondent added to cover licensing, affordability rules and consumer protection.

2026Fifteen operatorsForty markets priced monthly across fifteen bookmakers, with margin data licensed to two trade publications.
