Responsible gambling
We sell analysis, not outcomes. This page explains what a verified record does not promise, how to spot trouble early, and where to get help that has nothing to do with us.
Replace this document before you launch
Every word below is demo copy. It is written to show the shape of a responsible-gambling page, not to be published as it stands — the helplines and the self-exclusion schemes in particular are placeholders, and must be replaced with services your users can actually reach.
Our position
SportPulse sells analysis, not certainty. We do not take bets, we hold no stake money, and we earn nothing when you lose — our only revenue is subscriptions, split with the analyst.
That independence is the point, but it does not make betting safe. Most people who bet lose money over time, and no record on this site changes that arithmetic for you personally.
If a subscription here is being paid for with money you cannot afford to lose, cancel it. We would rather lose the revenue.
What a good record can and cannot tell you
A verified yield tells you what an analyst achieved over a specific sample, at prices that were available at the time. It cannot tell you what will happen next, and it cannot tell you what will happen to you.
- Even a strong long-run edge produces losing runs of ten picks or more.
- Prices move. If you bet a pick well after publication you are not betting the same proposition.
- Chasing losses with bigger stakes destroys an edge faster than any bad pick.
Every analyst here publishes a stake size for a reason. Ignoring it is the most common way subscribers turn a profitable record into a personal loss.
Warning signs
Gambling has stopped being entertainment if any of these are true:
- You are betting money set aside for rent, food, bills or debts.
- You are borrowing, selling things, or hiding transactions to keep betting.
- You are increasing stakes to recover losses rather than following a plan.
- You feel anxious, irritable or low when you cannot bet.
- You are lying to people close to you about how much you bet or lose.
- Betting is taking time from work, study, sleep or relationships.
One of these is enough to justify stopping and talking to someone. You do not have to reach a crisis first.
Tools we give you
Everything below is in your account settings and takes effect immediately.
| Cancel instantly | End any subscription in one click; access runs to the end of the paid period |
|---|---|
| Pause alerts | Silence pick notifications without cancelling |
| Spend summary | A monthly email showing exactly what you have paid SportPulse |
| Self-exclusion | Close your account and block re-registration for 6 or 12 months |
| Permanent closure | Irreversible deletion of the account and its subscription history |
Self-exclusion here covers SportPulse only. It does not block you at any bookmaker — use the operator’s own tools and a national scheme for that.
Blocking yourself at bookmakers
National self-exclusion schemes block you across every licensed operator in a jurisdiction at once. They are free.
- REPLACE THIS ROW with your territory’s national self-exclusion scheme — most block every licensed operator at once.
- Most states run an equivalent register through their own gambling regulator; name yours here.
- Device-level blocking software restricts gambling sites on your own phone and computer — name the one your users can reach.
- A regulator’s public register also tells you whether an operator is licensed at all.
Your bank may also let you switch on a gambling-transaction block, which adds a cooling-off delay before it can be lifted.
Where to get help
Free, confidential and independent of us:
| Your national gambling helpline | REPLACE THIS ROW with the helpline for your territory, and check the number before you publish |
|---|---|
| A national treatment service | REPLACE THIS ROW with the addiction service your users can actually reach |
| An online support community | REPLACE THIS ROW with a multilingual service if you operate in more than one country |
| A peer support group | REPLACE THIS ROW with the meetings network in your territory |
If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, contact your local emergency number or a suicide prevention line now, not a gambling helpline.
Support is also available to family members affected by someone else’s gambling — every organisation above helps them too.
Under-18s
This service is strictly for adults. We verify age at registration, close any account we find belongs to a minor, and refuse advertising placements aimed at young audiences.
If you share a device with children, use parental controls to block gambling content and keep your account signed out.
Ask us to close or self-exclude your account and we will do it the same day, no retention offer and no questions. Support can also point you to services in your country.
