The North Stand’s safe-standing area opens for the visit of Ashford City after the licensing authority confirmed the club’s application this week. Blocks N3 to N6 are rail seating from Saturday.
The four blocks hold 1,850 supporters. Each seat has a waist-height rail in front of it, and supporters may stand or sit as they choose. Tickets in the area are priced the same as the rest of the North Stand.
How rail seating works
- Every position has a numbered seat and a rail; the seat folds away when not in use.
- Stewarding is unchanged; standing is permitted throughout the match.
- The area is not available for away supporters, who remain in the South Terrace.
“Supporters asked for this for a decade, and the design of the new stands made it possible to do properly.”

Season-card holders
Holders in N3 to N6 keep their seats. Anyone who would prefer a seated area can move to N1 or N2 at no charge by contacting the ticket office before Friday.
