The Claret membership reached 9,240 in July, passing 9,000 for the first time in the club’s history and up from 7,100 at the same point last year.
Membership costs £35 a year and gives priority for match and away tickets, a discount in the club store and a vote in the elections for the two member-elected seats on the board. Those elections open in November.
Where the growth came from
- 2,400 new members since the East Stand reopening was announced.
- 1,100 junior memberships, the most ever.
- Members in 41 countries, up from 28.

The elections
Any member of twelve months’ standing can stand for the board. Nominations open on 1 November, with the vote in the last week of the month and the results announced at the annual general meeting on 12 December.
