Marco Iversen has signed a two-year extension that keeps him at Kingsway Park until the summer of 2027, after a start to the season in which he has conceded four goals in five league games.

The 29-year-old joined from Norway in 2023 and has made 118 appearances. His 41 clean sheets are already the fifth-highest total in the club’s history.

The season so far

  • Three clean sheets in five league games.
  • Four goals conceded, the fewest in the division.
  • One save required in the 3–0 win over Stanground.

“He organises the back four before he ever has to make a save. That is why the numbers look the way they do.”

Petr Halas, goalkeeping coach

In his words

“I came here for two years and I have stayed for four, which tells you what the place is like,” Iversen said. “The new stand, the academy players coming through, the way we play — I want to be part of it.”
